The cartoons 6 million people watched are returning insha’Allah
Assalamu'alaikum, |
Remember these guys? Abu Productive and Abu Unproductive? |
|
|
Over 15 years ago, we made these short little animations, each one teaching a single productive habit in a funny way: pray Fajr on time, don’t turn Ramadan into an eating contest, budget your money... |
SubhanAllah, people loved them and they were watched over six million times from all over the world. |
But in 2016 we had to stop…the cost of production was just too high, and our priorities changed as a company. |
Today, I’m excited to share that we’ve decided to bring back these animations insha’Allah! |

A few months ago, a husband-and-wife team who run an animation studio in Türkiye reached out and insisted we start making these animations again. They grew up watching Abu Productive themselves and wanted to be part of his return :) |
I was hesitant at first because of the costs, but we decided to bring them back with your help - running a crowdfunding campaign on LaunchGood to produce at least 10 new episodes by next Ramadan. |
The new animations will be designed in the same spirit as the originals (short, funny, shareable, one lesson at a time) with much richer artwork. And they’ll be free on YouTube forever. |

One supporter wrote yesterday: “Those animations were a big part of my revert journey, alhamdulillah. I look forward to their return.” Another said: “I miss these sooo much!!! I used to watch them during Ramadan long back with my cousins ❤ Please bring them back, alhamdulillah; they taught us good lessons.” |
That’s exactly why we’re doing this. |
We need to raise $12,500 to bring back the first 10 episodes. Can you help? |
|
|
If you can’t give right now, please forward this email or share the campaign page with one friend who grew up on these cartoons. Spreading the word about this campaign will help us a lot. |
I sincerely appreciate your support, and I look forward to bringing back these cartoons for a whole new generation. |
JazakumAllah khair! |

P.S. To have new episodes ready for Ramadan, production has to start soon. So we need your support as early as possible, please. Here’s the link to contribute your support: LaunchGood.com/ProductiveMuslimCartoons |
