Here, I witness how my people won't rush through a conversation just because they have errands to run, and how neighbors still drop by unannounced for impromptu chai sessions. Sound familiar to those of you from traditional Muslim societies? | Many of us find ourselves caught between these two worlds. In one, we have the rich tradition of Barakah-centered living, where spiritual fulfillment and relationships form the cornerstone of a productive life. In the other hand, we face the relentless demands of hustle culture, where "time is money," and productivity is measured solely in output. | "How can we live a Barakah-centered life in a hustle-dominated world?" This question surfaces in every workshop I conduct. And you know what? It's like trying to grow a desert rose in concrete – nearly impossible! | Imam Al-Ghazali wrote about the concept of suhba (companionship) and its critical role in spiritual growth.
