- In "The Importance of Hadith Learning in the Formation of Islamic Law" (JMKSP: Jurnal Manajemen, Kepemimpinan, dan Supervisi Pendidikan 10, no. 1 (2025)), Muhammad Fajri Yusuf and Bona Bargot Riezky Nagabe Siregar (Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara, Medan, Indonesia) "examine the importance of learning hadith in the formation of Islamic law through a qualitative approach. . . . The findings of the study show that hadith learning based on understanding sanad, matan, and historical context can produce more relevant and applicable legal interpretations."
On Islam and AI/Data Science - In "AI Governance for Islamic Finance -A Dynamic Prescriptive Approach" (SSRN, May 7, 2025), Tariqullah Khan (INCEIF University) explores "the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into Islamic finance and show that such integration offers transformative opportunities for innovation, personalization, and efficiency-but also introduces significant ethical and theological risks."
FIELD GUIDE TO ISLAMIC LAW ONLINE: RECENT SOURCES The Field Guide to Islamic Law Online is an ever-growing collection of links to hundreds of primary sources and archival collections around the world, online. We recently added a new resource to this list: - LLMC "is a nonprofit library consortium which provides provides access to global historic and legal documents through our database. As a nonprofit organization, we focus on the preservation and digitization of at-risk materials, ensuring their longevity and accessibility. Our collection spans jurisdictions, historical periods, and legal systems, offering a rich collection and resource for historians, researchers, attorneys, and scholars." The collection includes a section on Islamic law.
