Assalamu'alaikum, | When I first started teaching the Productive Muslim Program, I thought I was the only person qualified to teach it. After all, I wrote the Productive Muslim book, and I largely developed the content of the training material. | But two thoughts kept nagging at me: | If I truly wanted this material to reach others, I needed to stop being the bottleneck and let others teach it. What would happen after I'm gone? Would this program continue to be taught?
| I knew what I had to do - train others to be trainers of this course. But I wasn't sure how to go about it. | Then, in July 2022, we got the sad news of one of my early supporters and pioneers in the faith-based training world, Sh. Muhammad Al-Shareef, suddenly passed away at the age of 47. May Allah have mercy on his soul. | This was my wake-up call. I decided it was time to take action. | In August 2022, I invited alumni of The Productive Muslim Program to attend a live certification program in Dallas. I expected maybe 5-6 people to sign up. To my surprise, 21 incredible individuals registered. | For this first certification, I had two hypotheses I wanted to test: | Anyone can teach the Productive Muslim Program even if they have little training/coaching experience There's a method to train trainers that effectively transfers not only what to teach, but how to teach it as well
| Alhamdulillah, that first cohort was an incredible experience. Here's a picture of this first cohort: | | Encouraged by this, we ran a second cohort in Istanbul with great results as well. | | Since then, our certified trainers and partners have taken the program to different corners of the world, reaching people my team and I could never have imagined impacting. From training teachers in rural India, to inspiring Muslim entrepreneurs in Bali, to running a Productive Muslim women's retreat in the Maldives - the ripple effect has been truly humbling. | It's been inspiring to see professionals from various backgrounds - healthcare, education, business - creating positive change to those around them. Some have integrated this program into their existing work, while others have built new initiatives around it. | After running two cohorts, I can look back at my two hypotheses and say, alhamdulillah: | The Productive Muslim Program isn't about me—it's about sincere individuals willing to learn and teach this material to others. There is indeed a repeatable method to train trainers that works, and we're constantly trying to improve it, insha'Allah.
| I'm sharing this story because I want to invite you to be part of the next chapter. After a year break, we're now opening registration for the third cohort of the Productive Muslim Certification Program. | And this time, there's an exciting change: it's going to be online! This means that anyone, anywhere, with a good internet connection and a sincere intention to learn and serve, can become a Productive Muslim Certified Trainer. | If you'd like to learn more about this opportunity, I invite you to join me for a special webinar this Saturday where I'll go over all the details of the certification program. We'll discuss: | Why you should consider to become a certified trainer (even if you don't have a background in training/coaching) How to Become a Productive Muslim Certified Trainer Certification Timeline, Pricing, Application Process, etc.
